Finding a Load Bearing Wall Before It is Too Late

This can be very  complicated if you are not aware of what a wall is composed of.
Your home is like the human body. Drywall is the inner lining of home. It covers wiring,
piping, insulation, and studs (bones). I would definitely read the article above but know
always look up while in the basement and down while in the attic. Doing both allows you to
understand what is being run through your walls.
Do alot of research and if you have doubts hire a contractor. Ask family and friends as someone
will know a good one.
Most importantly have fun with it or don't do it at all:)

Spring 2011 is Coming: Time To Plan and Price for Your Roof

Premium Shingle are not much more than the standard shingles.
Although when we apply them you can tell that the quality of build and color
are much different. I would definitely spend an extra 7.00 a square to get
even a bolder color from the product little alone extra protection.
This particular shingle is a little over 100.00 a square.
Lowes has a similar shingle in the standard for 80.00 a square.

Asphalt Shingle Application with Sneakers or Boots

I  prefer using sneakers when working on a roof. They feel light on my feet and breathe easier in warm weather. Boots add ankle support for the change in angle of the roof when climbing. Boots also tend to tare up the shingles when hotter temperatures occur. Although some sneakers if not the running style have a more aggressive tread. Boots such as shown in the photo above would have great ankle support but may cut the circulation just below the knee if you have to squat down in order to nail shingles. Wearing boots is typically required by most roofers for the durability and surface strength which provides added safety. Special thanks to Dr. Marten, QPQE and New Balance shoes for the images.

It takes me an hour to get to my full time job. It again is an hour back home. Listening to Jamey Johnson's song makes me want to go against the grain. I tend to take the path I believe is safest. Entrepreneurship is what makes me the happiest. There is nothing like working like crazy towards something that seems impossible and then reinventing yourself just because. My eyes are sometimes blind to what my real talents and goals are. I have been taking classical guitar lessons in hopes of stirring anything creative in my brain.
Really looking forward towards some construction work this spring.

New Venture

Interested in adding this as a seasonal option.
Snow is very heavy on a roof and causes build up at the edges.
Ice may form out of the eave trough backing up snow.
This is caused in most cases from improper ventilation and insulation.
